ADVICE FOR ACCESSING MY TRUST

“I finally have access to my trust. For years, my existing trustee saw me as just their client’s grandkid and was constantly telling me ‘no.’ Now that I have control, I would like to work with someone who sees me as me and not just the grandkid. Will you work with me to help me make sure I can do all the things I want and need to do, but make sure I don’t overdo it and run through my money?”

Yes. Our process is very collaborative and you are at the center of that process.

We would start with taking an inventory of your investments. We build a financial model of your situation using our GPM software. This takes into account all your financial responsibilities, the bills you need to pay, the costs you need to cover, your needs and wants for yourself and those that depend on you.

From here we’ll have a conversation about what is most important to you and how we can make that work. We’ll show you what is possible and what, if any, investments need to be made to make it all happen.

We understand that, after all, it is your money. We want you to enjoy it and to use it for your benefit as it was intended. But most importantly, we want to serve as your guides on this journey.

We’ll help you ask the right questions and provide you as much information and context as you need so you can make good financial decisions based on things that are important to you and your family.

Wealth managed in this way can be preserved so that it can continue to provide income and independence to you and your family and perhaps fund contributions to organizations that are important to you.
