Theresa R. Swett

Financial Advisor Practice Business Manager

Terri has dedicated her career to serving her clients with warmth, caring and enthusiasm. She is the emotional center of the team. Her primary roles involve keeping the team itself on track and managing outgoing contact in an effort to provide strong and caring service to our friends and clients. Terri is often on the front line or first response in helping EKS’ clients manage through change or begin the process of completing a financial plan, helping evaluate asset allocations, responding to client needs and often keeping the team up to speed with important client updates. She also oversees the trading in clients’ portfolios.

After graduating from college, Terri, a former competitive athlete, spent time exploring the mountains of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

She returned east to be closer to family and in 1992 was recruited by Merrill Lynch, where she met her mentor, future business partner and friend, Steve Waltien.

Through this mentorship, Terri learned the value of collaboration between finance and community, personal relationships and the standards to which one should hold a professional advisor. With the sudden passing of her mentor, Terri found herself at a crossroads. The evolution from sole practitioner to collaborative teammate was a simple transition: Terri partnered with the Ewins-Kowalski team in 2013.

Terri is nurturing and has genuine appreciation for the complicated and emotional financial decisions that clients often face. In addition, Terri also leads the women initiatives for EKS Wealth Management and plans to host educational events for clients and prospects.

Originally from Gilford, New Hampshire, Terri lives in Williston, Vermont, with her husband, Phil, their children, Hanna and Cullen, and their chocolate Lab. As a family, they spend time in Maine with a large extended family and are active with competitive soccer. When not helping clients, Terri volunteers at local nonprofits and her children’s school, and has served as a volunteer and board member of local nonprofits.
